San Antonio Public Central Library

While in San Antonio for a work conference, I had a free afternoon so I decided to check out the colorful Central Library. Opening in 1995, the imposing six story structure stands out with its unique red facade. Specifically, the red exterior is referred to as ‘Enchilada Red.’ Upon walking into the center, open room of the library your attention is immediately drawn to the colorful, two story, glass blown structure by artist Dale Chihuly. The remainder of my meandering wander throughout this library was filled with various pops of color at every  turn. Enjoy my photos of this unique building, especially the architecture both inside and outside of the Central Library!
