2016 Year in Review

My 2016 has truely been a special one filled with books, travel, family, and friends! I’ve been beyond surprised and thankful for the exponential growth my blog has experienced. As a result of my wonderful followers I’ve had the opportunity to reach out and even receive advanced copies of books I was eagerly anticipated their release, e.g., The Fate of the Tearling, as well as cultivating several relationships I value deeply with other bloggers.  I managed to fit in an amazing 90 books in 2016 and have had a lot of fun coming up with the following lists surmising these books I’ve, for the most part, thoroughly loved reading. I hope you enjoy these lists in review of books, publications and travel for 2016! Of note, the items listed are in no particular order. With a lot of travel on the books already in 2017, i.e., seven weddings on the docket spanning from Baltimore, to Key West, I’m excited to see what this next year will bring.

My Publications for 2016

Oh of a side note, Luke and I had a very successful year with our first foray into beekeeping! We are excited to expand our littler operation next spring!

  1. I always love when people post their year’s favorite books. It is interesting to see the different interests people have. Although I love non-fiction, I don’t like the ones on wars. I enjoy memoirs because of the first person insights. Thanks for sharing your list!

  2. I am VERY interested in your publication about c-petide as a potential diagnostic marker for MS. I work in a medical lab and my coworker has MS and the quantity of invasive test she had to undergo was tough for her at the initial diagnosis. I love seeing great science happening!

    • I’ve heard so many terrible diagnosis stories from MS patients! The paper is free to the public. I believe linked the paper in my list. 🙂 Let me know what you think or if you have any questions!

      • It was a scary time for her but she’s coping well. She has a very slow form so the doctors believe she may have had to for quite some time and finally had a significant flair up. I did read your article and found it fascinating! Any future plans for the science of it?

      • We are having issues with funding. The debacle with Theranos has not left investors with a positive attitude toward diagnostics. Money availing we are going to push forward with an off site study where a clinic in Vermont will be sending us samples. 😀
